POPULAR US GOLFER TAKES SONY OPEN WEARING REPLACEABLE CLEAT TECHNOLOGY
The world’s number 22 ranked player – and one of the most popular on TOUR – used a sizzling back nine five under to capture a four-stroke victory in the Sony Open. In his victory, he was wearing footwear featuring replaceable cleat technology.
“2019 has started off strong with players on the PGA TOUR overwhelmingly choosing to wear cleated footwear as a competitive advantage,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports. “We look forward to showcasing all our cleat options and other accessories to the golf industry at next week’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.”
The Sony Open was held at Wai’alae Country Club in Hawaii. At the tournament, 19 of the top 22 finishers chose replaceable cleat technology over spikeless/tennis shoes.
