Heather Angell, PGA Director of Instruction at The Golf Club at Fiddler’s Creek in Naples, FL, has won the South Florida PGA Southwest Chapter Teacher of the Year for an unprecedented second year in a row. This is the third time Angell has won the award in the past five years. She also won the award in 2021.
“I am honored to be named Teacher of the Year for Southwest Florida two years in a row. I work hard every day to help my students play better golf and enjoy the game more,” Angell said.
She was also named one of Golf Digest’s Best Teachers in State for 2026-2027 and is a Golf Range Association Top 100 Growth of the Game Instructor for five years in a row. She won the South Florida PGA Professional Development Award in 2024 for her efforts in creating four Teaching and Leadership Symposiums in the past two years.

About Heather Angell:
Angell spent 14 years on the LPGA/Epson Tours and the Canadian Women’s Tour before transitioning into instruction. In addition to the awards above, Angell was named one of Golf Digest’s Best Teachers in State for 2026-2027, a Golf Magazine Teacher to Watch for 2026-2027, a Golf Range Association of America Top 100 Growth of the Game Instructor five times, as well as a US Kids Top 50 Instructor. She started the PGA HOPE Program in Fort Myers, FL and the All-Ladies PGA HOPE Program in Southwest Florida, helping Veterans learn and enjoy golf. She was a finalist for the PGA National Player Development Award in 2025. Her high-level competitive play began as a member of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill women’s golf team. She earned a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from High Point University and was an Adjunct Professor in the Professional Golf Management Program at Florida Gulf Coast University for 6 years.
