SPARK GOLF HELPS COURSE OPERATORS CREATE MORE ROUNDS
Thousands of people play Spark Golf nationwide in 2019
ORLANDO, FL. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 – Orlando-based Spark Golf successfully completed its first full-year partnering with course operators to provide a solution to help people play more golf.
Following a 2018 beta, Spark significantly increased its nationwide footprint hosting 76 Spark leagues across 30 U.S. cities in 2019. “It’s been a great year for Spark and our partner courses”, says Charlie Klaus, Spark’s Co-Founder & CEO. “We took a concept that helped Orlando locals play more golf, and expanded it across the country. Thousands of Spark users played fun golf, connected with others and experienced friendly competition at our partner courses.”
Spark’s turnkey technology solution makes it easy for course operators to host Spark Golf and generate more rounds and revenue. Unlike tee time aggregators, wholesalers or discounters, Spark has created a new category of golf that helps course partners attract golfers of every level. Klaus expands, “Our new take on leagues incentivizes people to make time in their hectic schedules to play more golf. The solution creates rounds that are truly incremental to the course while not removing the operator from their day-to-day activities.”
Spark is currently partnering with new courses across the country to host Spark Golf for the 2020 season. Depending on the market, leagues will start in April or May with promotion beginning in January. Spark Golf is 9 holes and played on weekday evenings. The Spark platform automates all league operations including registration, scoring and prizing. Interested courses can submit a league inquiry at spark.golf.
