This capital investment will propel SQAIRZ’s mission to revolutionize footwear across multiple sports, including golf, baseball and the rapidly growing sport of pickleball.
Thirty-5 Capital, known for its robust portfolio in sports innovation, has a strong presence in baseball and pickleball, including the Chicago Cubs, ProXR Paddles and Major League Pickleball. Their strategic investment marks a milestone for SQAIRZ as it applies its patented golf footwear technology, proven to create more power, to other sports.
As part of the relationship, SQAIRZ has been working closely with Thirty-5 Capital for over a year to test a new pickleball shoe that will be co-branded with the investment firm’s ProXR pickleball brand. Amateur players and one of the top tour professionals have been putting the prototypes through their assessments to ensure the highest standards of performance and injury prevention. The results have been impressive, and the official launch of the co-branded men’s and women’s pickleball shoes is set for Q4.
The new pickleball shoes leverage the patented SQAIRZ toe box design, a hallmark of SQAIRZ’s commitment to superior balance, stability and ground connection. This innovative design allows the toes to sit naturally and spread, providing better stability and enhanced ground connection. Additionally, the shoes feature a pivot point on the outsole for optimal rotational movements and a hybrid east/west, north/south directionalized outsole pattern, ensuring superior traction for both front/back and lateral movements. The slightly wider base under the forefoot, lateral side out-rigger nodules, and a heel to arch stabilizer significantly reduce rollover injury.
