Elite collegiate golfers set to compete at St Andrews Links from October 13–15

The Home of Golf is set to host the return of the St Andrews Links Collegiate presented by World Wide Technology along with their partners at Golf Channel, as the prestigious tournament heads into its third year at St Andrews Links from October 13-15, 2025.

The annual event will once again bring together some of the best men’s and women’s collegiate golf teams, providing a world-class stage for emerging talent at golf’s most historic venue.

This year’s event will feature men’s and women’s teams from the University of St Andrews, Princeton University, Michigan State University, and the University of California, Berkeley. Each college will bring squads of six men and six women, with extended rosters ensuring more players experience the unique opportunity to compete at the Home of Golf.

Among the standout names in this year’s field are Ellie Monk of the University of St Andrews, who claimed victory at the Helen Holm Scottish Women’s Open Championship in 2024 and finished fourth at this year’s St Rule Trophy, Riccardo Fantinelli of Princeton University, a key member of Team Italy’s historic 2025 European Amateur Team Championship win, the nation’s second ever title, and Ashton McCulloch of Michigan State, who enters the event as the highest ranked male player in the field at World Amateur Golf Ranking No. 70.

The format will mirror that of 2024 with two days of stroke play on the Jubilee Course, followed by a final day of match play on the Old Course, marking the only televised event staged on the Jubilee Course.

Last year’s tournament saw outstanding performances, with the University of Arizona capturing the women’s team title and Ashley Yun (Northwestern University) taking the women’s individual crown. In the men’s competition, Northwestern University claimed the team victory while Zach Pollo (University of Arizona) secured the men’s individual title.

Spectators are welcome to attend free of charge, with visitors and members of the local community encouraged to support the athletes in action across both courses.

For those unable to attend, fans around the world can tune in live: GOLF Channel will broadcast the event in the United States, while Sky Sports will provide coverage in the UK. Daily coverage begins at 9:00 a.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. BST, with encore broadcasts airing later each day.

Fans can find full tournament information, including live scoring, team rosters, and daily draws for 2025 on the St Andrews Links tournament page here.

James Ralley, Commercial Director at St Andrews Links Trust, said: “In collaboration with Golf Channel and World Wide Technology, we’re delighted to welcome back the St Andrews Links Collegiate for its third year. This event has become a highlight of our tournament calendar, providing an incredible opportunity for some of the finest student golfers to test themselves across two of our most celebrated courses. The combination of world-class competition, international broadcast coverage, and the historic setting at the Home of Golf makes this a truly special occasion.”

Glenn Grimshaw, VP, Franchise Development at Golf Channel, said: “We take great pride in the foundation Golf Channel has built around showcasing College Golf for more than a decade.  The opportunity to partner with St Andrews Links and bring what is a once in a lifetime opportunity for some of these student athletes is something we are beyond excited to be a part of. We hope to make this experience a lasting memory for the schools participating as we continue to build the legacy of the St Andrews Links Collegiate.”
