SteelFiber Shafts Deliver Award-Winning Performance at LPGA Majors
SteelFiber graphite iron shafts, designed and manufactured by Aerotech Golf, provided superior performance during this year’s five LPGA Majors and helped deliver the 2018 Rolex Annika Major Award.
The Rolex Annika Major Award was established in 2014 to recognize the player who, during a current LPGA Tour season, has the most outstanding Major Championship record. To be eligible, a player must win a Major Championship; and points are awarded to all players who finish in the top 10 and ties at all five Major Championships — ANA Inspiration, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, U.S. Women’s Open, Ricoh Women’s British Open and Evian Championship.
Playing SteelFiber J-series in her irons, this year’s Rolex Annika Major Award winner won the U.S. Women’s Open — her second career major championship victory — and scored ties for fourth place at the ANA Inspiration and the Ricoh Women’s British Open. She is also currently ranked No. 1 in the 2018 LPGA Money Title and No. 1 in the CME Race for the Globe Trophy, two honors that she previously won in 2016.
