SteelFiber Shafts Score Win at Dominion Energy Charity Classic

logo of Aerotech GolfBELLINGHAM, Wash. — The No. 1 graphite iron shafts in golf, SteelFiber shafts by Aerotech Golf delivered a win and a T2 on the Champions and LPGA Tours this weekend. SteelFiber i110 and i125 combined for the victory at the Dominion Energy Charity Classic on the Champions Tour, while SteelFiber J-series captured a share of second-place at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.
Playing SteelFiber i110 shafts in his irons and SteelFiber i125 shafts in his wedges, the 54-year-old Floridian won the Dominion Energy Charity Classic. The win was his fourth senior title and moved him to eighth in the Charles Schwab Cup Rankings. Meanwhile on the LPGA Tour, the young Bangkok-born pro — currently No. 1 on the 2018 LPGA Money List and Race to the CME Globe — scored a T2 finish with SteelFiber J-series shafts in her irons. In 2016, while also playing SteelFiber, she won the Rolex Player of the Year Award, Race to the CME Globe title and the LPGA Money Title.

“The cool and windy conditions made scoring difficult, but this year’s champion of the Dominion Energy Charity Classic finished strong with a closing 69. We congratulate him on a terrific victory,” says Chris Hilleary, president of Aerotech Golf. “SteelFiber graphite iron shafts give players unique advantages they simply don’t get from any other shafts. SteelFiber shafts reduce the risk of injury, lessen aggravation of existing injuries and decrease player fatigue, all while delivering greater distance and accuracy. It’s this innovative combination that has made SteelFiber the No. 1 graphite iron shaft in golf today.”

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through revolutionary composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. The shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.

Aerotech Golf shafts are available as custom options with many nationally celebrated golf club manufacturers such as PXG, Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, Cobra, Bridgestone Golf, Wilson, Cleveland Golf, Miura, Srixon, KZG and Nakashima Golf. Aerotech Golf shafts are also available through professional golf clubfitters around the world. Aerotech Golf is a proud supporter of the Association of Golf Clubfitting Professionals (AGCP) and the International Clubmakers Guild (ICG).
