Stonebridge Golf Club Opens New Practice Facility

 Georgia club offers three events for golfers to experience new amenity

Stonebridge Golf Club – the storied Arthur Davis-designed golf course located one-hour northwest of Atlanta – will celebrate the opening of their new practice facility with three public events on Tuesday, June 4, Thursday, June 6 and Saturday, June 8.

Stonebridge Golf Club is hosting three events the first week of June for golfers to get a firsthand look at the new facility and state-of-the-art technology expected to take each player’s game to new heights. Programs for each day include:

• June 4
  • Three (3) complimentary women’s clinics:
    • Putting clinic – 5 p.m.
    • Short Game – 6 p.m.
    • Off the Tee – 7 p.m.
  • Taylormade Fitting Day – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • PING Fitting Day – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Tour of facility – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • 10% of all pro shop and food sales will be donated to the Hospitality House
  • Women’s Golf Day – women play free all day
• June 6
  • Tour of facility – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Meet and greet with Travis Nance, golf instructor
  • Contests and more
• June 8
  • Tour of facility – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Trackman demo – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • PXG fitting – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Thursday and Saturday, Travis Nance, head golf instructor of Stonebridge Golf Club, will be leading activities for the day. Nance has 9 years of teaching experience and 12 years of playing experience on various tours at a professional level. He is a native of Rome and has helped golfers of all ages and skill levels find more enjoyment in the game of golf.

“It’s an honor to be back in Rome and working at the course where I learned how to play,” says Nance. “I am excited to help golfers not only reach their goals and maximize their potential, but also create an environment where everyone visiting Stonebridge feels at home.”

Opened in 1994, Stonebridge Golf Club is one of northern Georgia’s most popular courses. The 18-hole public golf course measures 6,816 yards from the longest tees and surrounds the spacious clubhouse, allowing for gorgeous views of the Lavender Mountains and abundant wildlife. The course features four sets of tees for all skill levels.
