SAN DIEGO, Calif. — StrackaLine, maker of golf’s premier greens guides and yardage books, has expanded its sales force by enlisting the services of Phillip James (PJ) to manage the sales and support for their collegiate team sales division. Phillip James was with Titleist for 20 years as the Senior Manager of Player Development and is currently working with Full Swing Simulators handling their US collegiate accounts.
“StrackaLine is extremely excited to have PJ on board to continue to make our books the #1 choice for NCAA golf teams.”, said StrackaLine president Jim Stracka. “We understand that this year has been extremely tough for all the collegiate sports programs and will continue to do whatever it takes to support the teams as best as possible”, added Stracka. In addition to PJ, StrackaLine has added 2 additional sales associates to support the collegiate sales division.
The quality and accuracy of StrackaLine’s greens guides have led to widespread adoption on the PGA, LPGA, Symetra and Web.com tours, in addition to their use by more than 300 Division I college teams. StrackaLine scans courses for $1,500 and that includes 100 greens guides for resale. The scanning process takes five hours to complete and is unobtrusive to the golfer experience.
The greens maps, which feature easy to read arrows, allow players to view contour and fall lines, in addition to slope percentage, anywhere on the green. Hole location daily rotation software and custom event hole location sheets are also available.
