StrackaLine (An Encinitas, California-based company) serves all the professional tours, over 300 Division I college teams, many junior programs and state golf associations. Now golfers who don’t hope to win a major or ever turn pro can begin to leverage the same technology the world’s best players rely on.
StrackaLine founder Jim Stracka, and AmateurGolf.com founder Pete Wlodkowski came to an agreement to work together over a Zoom call in mid-January. The two San Diego residents, with more than 50 years of industry experience between them, decided a signing ceremony was in order.
But it had to be safe. So, the duo met in the StrackaLine office, masked up, kept a safe distance, and even used their own new signing pens.
“The best players in the world depend on StrackaLine for their green reading technology,” said Stracka, “Now all amateur golfers can have the same information the pros use.”
That technology will be as easy to order as logging into the AmateurGolf.com website. Each tournament will have a link to purchase the StrackaLine guides available for its host course (s).
“StrackaLine is at the forefront of mapping greens,” said AmateurGolf.com founder Pete Wlodkowski. In their office I encountered a robotic putting green, and racks filled with books from PGA Tour and collegiate host courses that they have mapped in detail. My eyes were opened to just how ubiquitous these guides have become among players seeking a competitive edge.”
Both companies will back up the technology offered with training on how to use it to gain a competitive advantage. Getting prepared to compete your best just got a little easier.
