STRACKALINE’S HOLE LOCATION SOFTWARE (HoLo) RAPIDLY EXPANDING TO GOLF COURSES NATIONWIDE
SAN DIEGO, Calif. — StrackaLine, maker of golf’s premier greens guides and hole location software, is significantly increasing its customer base for its’ HoLo software. HoLo is designed to make a course superintendent’s job easier and improve the golfer experience.
“StrackaLine’s Hole Location Software has helped improve the condition of our turf significantly by enhancing the management of our hole locations”, said Oakbourne Country Club Superintendent Jason Barras. “Their pricing is unbeatable, and their product is superior to the competition”, added Jason.
The StrackaLine HoLo, best-of-its-kind technology, is being utilized by 100’s of courses. Among the most prominent features are:
- Superintendents have the ability to set upwards of 200 pin locations, based on slope and edge clearance, using StrackaLine’s “Green Manager” feature. Once pin locations are identified, they can be managed based on green speeds, course conditions and location needs, such as tournament vs. recreational play. The ability to set pin positions based on data helps improve pace of play and course conditions by ensuring hole locations are set fairly.
- Courses can now print high quality hole location sheets that offer as much detail as a course would like. The hole location sheets offer a variety of presentation options, including a real view of the green and any surrounding hazards. Courses can opt to include a variety of options on the hole location sheets such as slope, directional arrows, fall lines, in additional to several other options.
- StrackaLine’s HoLo allows courses to communicate pin positions to players before they arrive at the club, a feature that is particularly beneficial when hosting a tournament. Golf courses can send alerts to players, allowing them to view pin positions on an iPhone or Android app.
“At StrackaLine, we want to help make the game better for golfers and everything we create is with that goal in mind,” company president Jim Stracka said. “Our Hole Location software is already helping improve pace of play and it’s making life much easier for forward-thinking golf course superintendents.”
The quality and accuracy of StrackaLine’s greens guides led to the creation of HoLo which uses the same data from the greens scans to generate hole locations. StrackaLine greens guides are used by the PGA, LPGA, Symetra and Web.com tours, in addition to more than 300 Division I college teams. StrackaLine’s HoLo starts at $1,000 per year.
