SAN DIEGO, Calif. — StrackaLine, maker of golf’s premier greens guides, was the book of choice for the field at the 121st Men’s U.S Amateur at Oakmont Country Club. The Michigan State Men’s and Women’s golf teams are valued StrackaLine customers. The best players in the world are using StrackaLine books and you can too.
The books were seen being used by the majority of the field at 2021 U.S Amateur being played at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania. Michigan State Senior James Piot rallied from three holes down through 27, and made a clutch 15-footer for par on the 35th hole of the day to beat North Carolina’s Austin Greaser, 2 and 1, in Sunday’s 36-hole final at Oakmont.
“The U.S. Men’s Amateur is an extremely prestigious event, and we are very pleased that our books are being used by the field to improve their overall level of play”, said StrackaLine president Jim Stracka.
The quality and accuracy of StrackaLine’s greens guides have led to widespread adoption on the PGA, LPGA, and Korn Ferry tours, in addition to their use by more than 400 Division I college teams. StrackaLine scans courses for $2,000 and that includes 100 greens guides for resale. The scanning process takes five hours to complete and is unobtrusive to the golfer experience.
The greens maps, which feature easy to read arrows, allow players to view contour and fall lines, in addition to slope percentage, anywhere on the green.
