StrackaLine Scans North Oaks Golf Club, An Exclusive Private Club In Minnesota
StrackaLine has scanned North Oaks Golf Club and will be providing one of Minnesota’s premier private clubs with its industry-leading Greens Guides.
North Oaks Golf Club was originally designed by golf course architect Stanley Thompson in 1950 – located just inside the private North Oaks community, the course has been home to numerous local and state championships.
StrackaLine scanned each of the course’s greens, collecting millions of data points the company used to create topographical maps of each putting surface that are accurate down to the millimeter. The Greens Guides, which feature easy to read arrows, allow players to view contour and fall lines, in addition to slope percentage, anywhere on the green.
“North Oaks Golf Club is a wonderful addition to the StrackaLine team,” company president Jim Stracka said. “Club members will enjoy the opportunity to use StrackaLine’s best-in-the-game Greens Guides, and it’s always a pleasure for us to work with courses and facilities that are industry leaders.”
StrackaLine scans courses for $1,500 and that includes 100 greens guides for resale. The scanning process takes five hours to complete and is unobtrusive to the golfer experience.
StrackaLine’s quality and accuracy have led to widespread adoption on the PGA, LPGA and Korn Ferry tours, in addition to their use by more than 300 Division I college teams.
StrackaLine now has more than 1,000 courses scanned, including some of the nation’s most prominent layouts.
StrackaLine worked in conjunction with the USGA to ensure its greens guides were in compliance with the governing body’s new interpretation of Rule 4.3, allowing the company to continue providing its best-in-the-game greens maps to professionals and amateurs.
