SAN DIEGO, Calif. — StrackaLine, maker of golf’s premier greens guides, was the book of choice for the two finalists at the 122nd Men’s U.S Amateur being played at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, NJ. The books were seen being used by the majority of the field at 2022 U.S Amateur.
StrackaLine would like to congratulate its valued customer Sam Bennett on an amazing performance at the U.S. Amateur this past week which earned him exemptions to the U.S. Open next year at Los Angeles Country Club, a likely invitation to the Masters along with an exemption into the British Open. Bennett defeated Ben Carr, 1 up, to claim the Havemeyer Trophy.
Needing a win on the 36th hole to extend the match, Carr’s tee shot missed the fairway to the right and when his second shot didn’t find the green, he needed to chip in for all intents and purposes to win the hole. His chip came out soft and Bennett had two putts from 12 feet to win. He lagged his first to within inches for the win. “The U.S. Men’s Amateur is the most prestigious amateur golf event, and we are very pleased that our books are being used by the field to improve their overall level of play”, said StrackaLine president Jim Stracka.
The quality and accuracy of StrackaLine’s greens guides have led to widespread adoption on the PGA, LPGA, and Korn Ferry tours, in addition to their use by more than 500 collegiate teams. StrackaLine scans courses for $2,000 and that includes 100 greens guides for resale.
The greens maps, which feature easy to read arrows, allow players to view contour and fall lines, in addition to slope percentage, anywhere on the green.
