SAN DIEGO, Calif. — StrackaLine, maker of golf’s premier greens guides and yardage books, is supplying books for the 2020 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md . While the Club has hosted several premier golf tournaments in the past—including 30 U.S. Open sectional qualifiers—this will be Woodmont’s first time hosting a USGA championship.
The StrackaLine combination yardage and greens guides will be used by the majority of the 132 competitors in the field. Considered the most prestigious event in all of women’s amateur golf, the U.S. Amateur boasts an impressive roster of players.
“We are extremely proud to support the growth of Women’s golf in the United States and worldwide”, said StrackaLine president Jim Stracka. “The U.S. Women’s Amateur is an extremely prestigious event and we are very happy that our books will be used by the field to improve their overall level of play,” added Stracka.
The quality and accuracy of StrackaLine’s greens guides have led to widespread adoption on the PGA, LPGA, Symetra and Web.com tours, in addition to their use by more than 300 Division I college teams. StrackaLine scans courses for $1,500 and that includes 100 greens guides for resale. The scanning process takes five hours to complete and is unobtrusive to the golfer experience.
The greens maps, which feature easy to read arrows, allow players to view contour and fall lines, in addition to slope percentage, anywhere on the green.
