Students’ Fall 2024 collection dubbed “All-Time All-Stars” was inspired by the overachievers of yesteryears in college. “Aim for the stars so if you fail, you’ll land on the moon,” were pressures of going to prestigious schools.
In this fall collection, we drew inspirations from vintage ivy league students in the 50s-60s mixed with today’s street utilitarian aesthetics. Back in the late 1890s and early 1900s, the “preppy” style was a sort of status symbol worn by wealthy guys who went to preparatory and Ivy League schools—hence the name. Plaid, wool coats, button-downs, knit sweaters, and loafers wereall part of their closet must-haves. However Students’ interpretation is juxtaposed by vintage wear mixed with today’s street utilitarian style.
Fabrics and colors have been slightly washed down to more drab colors. New fabrics have a worn and soft peached feel andsilhouettes have been slightly cropped for more of a prep look. Houndstooth, wool plaids, polos, soccer jerseys and collegiategraphics are prominent in this Fall 2024 – Delivery 1 collection. However, the vintage knit sweaters in beautiful gauges and weaves are mainstays of every look.
One of the key pieces of this collection is the “Truman” long sleeve knit sweater inspired by trips to the alpines during the winter.Centered around this collection is also an official Realtree licensed pattern constructed through various pieces such as the “Tahoe” twill shorts, “Emers” twill pants, “Benjie” long sleeve polo shirt, and “Maxis” long sleeve t-shirt inspired by summer break hunting trips in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia.
Students’ signature graphics inspired by sound tracks continue to make features in this collection.
In this Fall 2024 – Delivery 1 collection, we feel it tells the story of a college graduate pulling items of his yesteryears and mixing with an unrestricted style to cope with his renewed interests. Free from the conformity of private ivy league school dress codes,rekindling with the sports he once played, all are now at the front stage and chapter of his life.
This collection is scheduled to release online and Students’ global retailers on September 17th.
