Waterloo, Iowa – Sunnyside Golf & Country Club in Waterloo, Iowa, recently welcomed Colin Kitson as the club’s new general manager. Kitson will oversee golf operations, food & beverage, agronomy, maintenance operations as well as sales and marketing for the private club.
A dynamic hospitality professional with experience in food and beverage operations, event management, and service leadership at private clubs and upscale hospitality venues, Kitson comes to Sunnyside Golf & Country Club from Wilderness Ridge Country Club in Lincoln, Nebraska. Throughout his career he has worked at clubs in Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa, quickly working his way from service attendant to general manager. He is passionate about creating memorable dining and event experiences through precision, professionalism, and a hands-on leadership approach.

Originally from Gretna, Nebraska, Kitson earned a professional golf management degree from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo and is currently an associate member of the PGA of America.
