SuperSpeed App offers tour-level speed training program, protocols and ball speed applications
TULSA, OK – SuperSpeed Golf, the golf swing speed training company, is proud to announce its SuperSpeed App is now available for download on both iOS and Android devices.
The launch culminates a two-year process to develop and integrate all facets of golf swing speed training including OverSpeed Training, Mechanics Training, and Physical Fitness Training into one platform. From multiple levels of warm-up protocols to long-form data analysis training regimens, the application touches on all aspects of speed training to provide a customized training experience for each user’s wants and needs for their swing.
“The SuperSpeed App encompasses aspects across the full spectrum of speed training, and this multi-year endeavor resulted in a truly comprehensive, first-of-its-kind application,” said Michael Napoleon, president of SuperSpeed Golf. “We hope to find new and innovative ways to reach all golfers, even those without access to personalized coaches or trainers, and this app will ensure that everyone with a mobile phone has access to grow their speed.”
Users can create an account, complete a self-physical assessment and speed assessment, which app algorithms utilize to build an optimal course of action to maximize each user’s speed gains. These personalized plans combine all of SuperSpeed’s training protocols for Warm-Up, OverSpeed Training, Counterweight Training, Ground Force, Sequencing, Wrist Mechanics, Ball Speed Application, Grip Strength and Golf-Specific Fitness, creating the right training regimen for golfers of all levels, sizes and abilities.
SuperSpeed partnered with Jason Glass, a PGA Tour trainer and Head of the TPI Fitness Advisory Board, to make him the featured fitness coach of the app. On top of SuperSpeed’s existing database of training and protocols, Glass has developed additional programming in golf-specific physical fitness areas including mobility, lower body strength, core strength, and upper body strength, all of which is available in the app.
The app utilizes Distance Factor, a new calculation that takes into account all variables of ball flight relating actual carry distance to club head speed, along with other popular metrics including smash factor, club head speed, ball speed, and carry distance. Individual session data can be used to learn about users’ optimal time to train, specific strengths and weaknesses and much more, while the app will track actual yardage gains, club speed, ball speed, session effort score, and trends related to all of these metrics.
Interactive components include achievements with badges that come when users complete programs, make certain percentage speed gains, and compare their dominant and non-dominant swings. Leaderboards allow players to see how they stack up against each other, as users can sort their data against other users by age, handicap, gender and other aspects.
The application offers a free basic version, which allows users access to speed training protocols and data analytics on their club speed. A premium version is also available, opening the floodgates of a truly comprehensive speed training program.
