Tulsa, OK – SuperSpeed Golf congratulates rising senior at Ohio State, Maxwell Moldovan, for qualifying for the Barbasol Championship after firing a 7-under-par round of 65 to earn one of four spots in the field available at the tournament’s Monday Qualifying event. This will be Maxwell’s second PGA TOUR event this year following the US Open where he made the cut in his second major championship start.

Following an impressive junior year, Moldovan has achieved numerous accolades, including being named a 2nd-Team All-American. His remarkable season with the Buckeyes included a 70.64 scoring average, victory at the NCAA Auburn Regional, seven top-5 finishes, 10 top-10 finishes in 12 tournaments and 16 rounds in the 60s. Moldovan, who was a member of the recent winning U.S. Palmer Cup Team, is now ranked 3rd in the Golfweek Men’s Amateur Rankings.

Moldovan has recognized and credited his speed training with SuperSpeed Golf as part of his recent success. Through his speed training, Moldovan consistently reaches mid-170 MPH ball speeds. Since his freshman year at Ohio State, Moldovan’s average swing speed has improved from 106 MPH to 114 MPH, resulting in his average driver carry distance jumping from 270 yards to 295 yards.
