WIXOM, MI – SuperStroke – the leading manufacturer of high-performance golf grips – confirms its 1.0PT putter grip was used by Sungjae Im during his victory at the PGA TOUR’s Shriners Children’s Open, contested this past weekend at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
The 23-year-old South Korean relied on the exceptional feel and stability of the popular SuperStroke model to shoot a final round 62 and capture a four-shot victory. Im putted exceptionally well during the week, finishing in the top-10 in strokes gained putting. This was his second TOUR win of 2021, as he also captured the Honda Classic title in March.
“Sungjae Im is one of the most promising young players in the world of professional golf and a great example of the incredible international talent the game is now attracting,” says Dean Dingman, CEO of SuperStroke. “Like all players at this level, Sungjae is incredibly discerning about the equipment he uses, and like many he relies on SuperStroke to get the job done on the greens.”
The 1.0PT series is a modern twist on a classic design. The smaller overall profile features a pistol-style with a more pronounced arc under the top hand extending into the butt area of the grip. It features SuperStroke’s advanced Traxion materials to help players maintain even grip pressure and boost consistency. Advanced Spyne Technology is specifically engineered to aid in repeatable hand positioning, allowing players to better square the putter face at time of impact.
One of the most trusted brands on all major tours around the world, SuperStroke’s team of ambassadors includes three-time major champion Jordan Spieth, future hall of famer Sergio Garcia and world-renowned putting coach Phil Kenyon. In addition to the company’s beloved putter grips, SuperStroke offers a full lineup of club grips allowing golfers to experience the benefits of SuperStroke technology in every shot.
