Tee Up for a Milestone: I GOT THIS Foundation Celebrates its 5th Annual Charity Scramble

October 21, 2026

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Golfers, sponsors, and supporters are invited to make an impact at the I GOT THIS Foundation’s 5th annual Charity Scramble on Friday, November 13, 2026, at Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale.

Amy Bockerstette, an inspiring golfer and advocate for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, is celebrated for her memorable moment with PGA Tour player Gary Woodland on the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale during a practice round at the 2019 WM Phoenix Open. She has shown that golf is a sport for everyone, and her spirit and commitment continue to motivate countless individuals, embodying the very essence of the I GOT THIS Foundation.

The Foundation’s mission is to promote golf instruction and playing opportunities for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. Its programs include the I GOT THIS Instructor Academy, Discovery Golf Clinic, Golf Camp, and annual I GOT THIS Championship.

As the Foundation’s largest fundraiser, the Charity Scramble brings golfers together for an unforgettable day of fun, friendly competition, and meaningful impact. I GOT THIS athletes join the excitement, often as guests of sponsors, giving participants a firsthand look at the inclusive community their support helps create.

With only 108 playing spots available, golfers and sponsors are encouraged to secure their place early. Returning sponsors include XXIO, Forever Young Foundation, GR8FR8 Logistics, Unomojo, Preston’s Friends, Dickinson Wright, Van’s Golf Shops, and the LPGA Ford Championship. ECI Software Solutions joins the event as a new sponsor this year.

Participants will enjoy a full round of golf, $150 in event swag, a grab-and-go breakfast, a post-round lunch reception, lively on-course games, and a hole-in-one contest featuring a trip for two to Whistling Straits. Amy Bockerstette will personally roam the course throughout the day, stopping for photos with participants and helping make the experience even more memorable. Raffle items and an in-person silent auction add even more chances to win while supporting an important cause.

Adding to the day’s excitement, Cameron Cox—a five-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and Main Sports Anchor for 12 News in Phoenix—will serve as guest speaker. Born and raised in Houston and a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, Cox hosts 12Sports Locker Room after big games, 12Sports Tonight on Sunday nights, and Friday Night Fever in the fall.

Every swing will help fuel the Foundation’s full range of programming in Arizona and across the country, expanding golf instruction, playing opportunities, camps, clinics, instructor education, and competitive experiences for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. That support includes the 2027 I GOT THIS Championship, returning for its fifth year as a two-day, 36-hole competition with both a men’s and women’s division. In 2026, the event welcomed 41 golfers from 21 states and Canada.

Golf participation starts at $300 per person or $1,100 for a foursome. Sponsorship opportunities with and without golf are still available. To learn more visit https://tinyurl.com/2026IGT.
