Industry veteran to lead golf operations at the newly built club
Northbrook, Ill. – Tepetonka Club has announced Jason McCarty as Director of Golf at Tepetonka Club, a new destination private club set to open for member play in summer 2026.
McCarty brings more than 20 years of experience to Tepetonka where he previously held golf leadership positions at Kauri Cliffs and Cape Kidnappers (2004-2010), Sebonack Golf Club (2005-2023) and most recently at Cabot St. Lucia – Point Hardy Golf Club (2021-2025).
“Jason brings a wealth of experience at some of the most respected clubs from around the world,” said Tepetonka Club CEO Mark Haugejorde. “His passion for delivering the best in global golf and hospitality experiences is a tremendous asset to Tepetonka’s members and their guests.”
Managed by Northbrook, Ill.-based KemperSports, Tepetonka Club rests on a majestically rural 228-acre site about 90 miles west of the Twin Cities, with a 6,765-yard, 18-hole par-70 course designed by Australian firm OCM Golf.
In addition to world-class golf, Tepetonka Club offers a variety of dining experiences, including Jim’s Supper Club, Hog Heaven and The Dead End. Onsite are five 4-bedroom cabins, two 8-bedroom lodges, complemented by Tepetonka Beach Club on iconic Green Lake, and the 140-acre Tepetonka Ranch that can be seen from the sixth and eighth tees at Tepetonka.

McCarty is a Class A Member of the PGA of America and the New Zealand PGA. He became a PGA Professional after an illustrious playing career that includes a top-10 finish in the Korea Open, third place in the Caledonian Open, and a fourth place finish in the Fiji Open.
