The European Tour Destination’s Golf Academy trains 67 junior golfers aged 6 to 16 at the Albatros Golf Performance Center, a 64-bay, two-level facility featuring a Toptracer area, four outdoor putting greens, a putting lab and the Callaway High Performance Center for custom fitting.
The facility’s standing was recently underlined by a nomination for World’s Best Golf Academy at this year’s World Golf Awards. For the past seven years, it has also operated as an official training base for the French Golf Federation, meaning Terre Blanche’s youngest academy members train with the same equipment and technology used by France’s top professionals.
That infrastructure has delivered impressive results:
- Octave Bailo, an academy graduate, was crowned French Amateur Men’s Champion in April. He won both the Coupe Ganay stroke-play qualifier and the matchplay final, becoming the first player to complete the double since 2002.
- Terre Blanche’s U16 girls’ team has been promoted to the 1st national division for 2027, while the U16 boys’ team will compete in the 3rd division.
- In August, team player Florence Helson finished just one shot outside the podium at the U14 Scotland Internationals – a 144-player, 15-nation field – while clubmate Emma de los Rios won the Gibson Trophy for the championship’s best U12 player.
