FRISCO, Texas – In partnership with the PGA World Alliance, the PGA of America is proud to announce its participation in “Thank A PGA Pro Day,” to be held on July 31, 2026. The Alliance’s inaugural global campaign encourages golfers to thank a PGA Professional for their profound impact within the industry.
There are more than 60,000 PGA Professionals worldwide, including more than 30,000 in the PGA of America. The campaign’s theme, “Behind Every Golfer,” signifies that every player’s journey is impacted by a PGA Professional. Whether it’s a coach who gave a lesson, a head professional who offered words of encouragement or a general manager who said hello, the PGA Professional is part of every golfer’s experience.
The PGA World Alliance invites golfers of all levels, members and societies to join in the celebration on July 31, 2026, through #ThankAPGAProDay across all social media channels.
“As an Association whose mission is to serve PGA of America Golf Professionals, grow the game and help others find more joy on the course, ‘Thank A PGA Pro Day’ is a perfect opportunity to express our gratitude,” said Acting PGA of America President Nathan Charnes, PGA. “PGA Professionals are the backbone of our sport. They are the most highly skilled coaches and experts in golf operations, and they run some of the best facilities and golf businesses around the world. We encourage golfers everywhere, along with industry partners and anyone who has benefited from the dedication of a PGA Professional, to take part. Alongside the PGA World Alliance, we extend our deepest thanks to the PGA Professionals worldwide who serve as the true heart, soul and stewards of our game.”
