Meticulously Restored and Performance-Tuned Classics for the Modern Golfer

ORLANDO, FL — Alley Group LLC (TAG) today announced the official launch of its TAG Heritage™ program at the 2026 PGA Show in Orlando (Inventors’ Showcase Stand 3904A). TAG Heritage is a boutique restoration and performance-calibration offering focused on one of golf’s most iconic putter designs: the classic Bulls Eye–style blade.

Founded by Allen Alley, Alley Group Golf acquires authentic, pre-owned vintage Bulls Eye® putters from the secondary market and subjects each one to a comprehensive, precision restoration and performance-tuning process. The result is not a replica or a newly manufactured club, but a meticulously restored and significantly enhanced original—optimized for modern performance while preserving the soul and character of a true classic.

The inspiration behind TAG Heritage simple: What would the legendary John Reuter Jr.’s classic putter feel like if it were restored and calibrated using today’s precision measurement, manufacturing tools, and modern understanding of putter physics?

“Some designs are timeless for a reason,” said Allen Alley, Founder of TAG. “The classic Bulls Eye–style putter is one of the purest, most honest shapes ever put in a golfer’s hands. With TAG Heritage, we start with a genuine original and then carefully restore, true, and recalibrate it using everything we now know about weight distribution, torque, moment of inertia, stability, and precision manufacturing.”

Each TAG Heritage putter undergoes a multi-stage process that includes geometric truing, surface restoration, precision polishing, and the integration of mass tuning to optimize balance, feel, and stability. Final calibration is performed to tightly controlled tolerances that were simply not achievable when these putters were originally produced.

Rather than altering the iconic silhouette, Alley Group Golf focuses on purity of form, balance, and feedback—delivering a putter that looks and feels like a cherished classic, but performs to modern expectations.

“Our goal isn’t to change history,” Alley added. “It’s to respect it, restore it, and refine it—to let these wonderful old designs finally perform at their full potential.”

The TAG Heritage™ restored and calibrated putters will debut at the 2026 PGA Show in Orlando in the Inventors’ Showcase beginning January 21 and will be offered in limited quantities, with each putter individually restored and tuned.
