Naples, Florida – The Club at the Dunes, part of The Dunes of Naples private residential community in Naples, Fla. was recently inducted into the Naples Chapter of the Chaines des Rotisseurs Society, the oldest and largest food and wine society in the world. While many hospitality professionals have been inducted into the U.S. chapter over the last 60 years, a dining facility has never been granted membership until The Club at the Dunes was honored into the Gastro Society. Club General Manager Robert D. Podley, CCM, represented The Club at the Dunes at the 40th anniversary gala for the Naples Chapter of the Chaines des Rotisseurs on November 16.
The Chaines des Rotisseurs Society is the oldest gastronomic society as it dates back to 1248 in France and includes more than 25,000 members worldwide. The Dunes made history in becoming the very first private club in the United States to be inducted into the organization. The national chapter is in the process of changing its bylaws to accommodate this historic addition to the organization.
“The Club at the Dunes could not be more honored to be a part of this historic and prestigious organization filled with incredible people,” said Podley. Our partnership will enhance the lifestyle opportunities of Dunes Members as a perfect complement to our already extensive F&B program and further our quest to provide unparalleled value for the entire membership.”
In addition to membership benefits, The Club at the Dunes will be considered as a future host site for Chaine des Rotisseurs events.
The Chaines des Rotisseurs Society induction adds to a list of accolades The Club at the Dunes has been honored with over the last 18 months, including 2021 Golden Fork Award by Golf Inc. Magazine, “Patio of the Year” by Club + Resort Business, 2020 CMAA Wine Society Award, and deemed as one of America’s Healthiest Clubs.
