Multi-million dollar renovation work will provide upgrades to clubhouse, racquet sports and more
Hilton Head Island, SC – Invited, the worldwide leader in private clubs, has announced the start of a multi-million dollar renovation of The Golf Club at Indigo Run designed to upgrade its clubhouse, dining area, fitness center and racquet sports facilities.
The club is one of several properties identified by Invited to be included in multi-year, multi-million-dollar reinvestment strategy aimed at enhancing the company’s diverse portfolio of clubs.
The clubhouse will be revitalized with fully renovated dining spaces including expanded seating to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The main dining space will take on a more relaxed, coastal feel that suits the lifestyle of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
The renovation will also extend to the golf course, including a full redo of the greens, embracing the original green characteristics that were established by the original designers. The Golf Club at Indigo Run was exclusively designed and built in 1995 by the legendary Jack Nicklaus and his son, Jack Nicklaus II, making it the first signature course to be designed by a father and son team. The 6,700-yard, par 72 course also was the last one to be built on Hilton Head Island, a barrier island along the South Carolina coast.
This premier golf course is entering an exciting new chapter, with renovations designed to elevate the original vision of its architects. A fresh wave of investment underscores its continued commitment to excellence as one of Hilton Head Island’s top private clubs.
Additional member enhancements will include a new Technogym Fitness Center, incorporating state of the art fitness and wellness solutions to deliver smart training solutions. The racquet sports facilities, featuring eight hard court pickleball courts and six Har-Tru tennis courts, will be modernized with new, vibrant landscaping and updates to fencing around the property.
Renovations are expected to last through early October with the golf course closed during the summer. Members will be able to enjoy reciprocal play opportunities at the Country Club of Hilton Head or Golden Bear during the closure.
