The winner will be unveiled on April 30, receive a sponsor exemption into the 2026 ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Play Golf Myrtle Beach (PGMB), the premier resource for the Golf Capital of the World®, is excited to announce the return of The Q at Myrtle Beach, a groundbreaking competition that merges the fast-growing influence of YouTube golf creators with the biggest events in the sport. Now in its third year, the made-for-YouTube competitive series provides a unique pathway for some of the game’s most popular golf creators to play their way into a PGA TOUR event.
For the first time, the 2026 edition of ‘The Q’ features a field made entirely of YouTube golf creators competing over two rounds in a high-intensity format designed to test their versatility and competitive edge. The winner will receive an unrestricted sponsor exemption into the 2026 ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, contested at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
PGMB has partnered with two of the biggest creators in golf, boasting a combined audience of nearly 2.5 million subscribers, Grant Horvat and the Bryan Bros to produce and distribute the 2026 competition series. In a collaborative broadcast model, Round 1 will premiere on Grant Horvat’s YouTube channel in partnership with PGMB on Monday, April 27, 2026. Fans can then watch the tournament finale as Round 2 drops on the Bryan Bros’ YouTube channel on Thursday, April 30, 2026. The episodes will debut in the days leading up to the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, serving as a digital lead-in to the PGA TOUR event at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
To determine the champion, the eight-player field will first compete in a series of head-to-head one-on-one match play contests during Round 1 at Rivers Edge Golf Club. The winners of those matches will advance to Round 2 at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club, where they will battle in a final stroke-play shootout to determine who claims the exemption and a spot in the tournament field.
“The Q at Myrtle Beach continues to evolve as one of the most innovative events in golf, showcasing how the game is being shaped by both elite competition and the growing influence of digital creators,” said Ryan Cannon, Executive Director of Golf Tourism Solutions. “By offering a direct pathway into a PGA TOUR event, we’re elevating the competition while reinforcing the Myrtle Beach area’s position as a destination where the future of golf is being defined. We’re proud to bring this experience back for a third year and connect new audiences with The Golf Capital of the World®.”
The Q at Myrtle Beach is a first-of-its-kind competition, generating millions of views and serving as the inspiration for other creator-centric events such as the PGA TOUR’s Creator Classic. Its innovative approach to bridge the gap between professional golf and digital golf creators has been recognized nationally, including being honored with the PGA TOUR’s “Best In-Class Element” award in 2024. Past champions include Matt Atkins, who captured the inaugural title in 2024, and Nathan Franks who found victory in the 2025 edition to earn his place in the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic field.
The full participant field will be revealed leading up to the debut episode of Round 1. For more information and updates on air dates, visit www.theqatmyrtlebeach.com.
