The Southwest Section PGA Announces Continued Efforts to Grow Youth Participation in Golf with Nike Junior Golf Camps

The Southwest Section PGA (SWPGA), the PGA of America’s organizing body in Arizona and Southern Nevada, recently announced a continued sponsorship deal with Nike Junior Golf Camps (NJGC) to support the growth of junior golf within its region. Under this arrangement, Nike Junior Golf Camps contributes funds to the SWPGA to directly support local junior tours and the SWPGA promotes their junior golf camps in Arizona and Nevada to its members.

“The Southwest Section PGA is proud to announce our continued partnership with Nike Junior Golf Camps and US Sports Camps for the upcoming summer months of 2020,” says Flynn Makas, Partner and Community Program Manager for the SWPGA. “These camps offer a unique and exciting experience for our junior players to work on their craft as well as build new friendships along the way.”

The Southwest Section PGA operates multiple junior tours and events including the SWPGA Antigua Junior Tour, SWPGA Firebirds Tour, PGA Jr. League (regionally), Drive, Chip & Putt (regionally), and the Southwest Junior PGA Championship. Donations from sponsors like Nike Junior Golf Camps contribute to scholarships for high-achieving junior golfers and assist in keeping membership fees affordable.
