THE CANNON FIRES THE RAREST OF GOLF ODDITIES

November 17, 2021

On 11/11/2021, The Cannon Club in Lothian, Md. was the scene of what is believed to be a one in a million event. On that day, three different players had hole-in-one’s on three separate holes. Eric Hall aced the third hole (blue tees 173 yds), his first; Bill Shenas aced the eighth hole (white tees 162 yds), his fourth; and Tom Winegardner aced the sixteenth hole (black tees 150 yds), also his fourth. The only par-3 on the golf course to escape the carnage was hole #14 (black tees 225 yds). This accomplishment has to be one of the rarest if not THE rarest of golf oddities!

ABOUT

The Cannon Club was established in 1989, and is a private club where generations of families and friends come together to create and share a lifetime of cherished memories.

The Cannon Club’s name reflects our past history and the heritage of this South County Region. It still represents today, as it did back then, a place where you can go and still find the classic southern hospitality that is gracious and inviting, zealous in catering to others and known for its warm and welcoming attitudes.
