Registration for Golf’s Ultimate Charitable Challenge Now Open with New Ways to Participate
Monterey, Calif. – Youth on Course – the nonprofit organization providing youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf today announced the schedule for its 9th annual 100 Hole Hike fundraising initiative. The 2024 Season is highlighted by three Premier Hikes, teeing off on the East Coast at The Cradle at Pinehurst Resort and culminating on the West Coast at The Hay at Pebble Beach Resort, and includes the first-ever Premier Canadian Hike at The Nest at Cabot Cape Breton in Inverness, Nova Scotia.
“The Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike is a key driver to expand access to the sport,” said Youth on Course CEO Adam Heieck. “Since its inception, we’ve raised millions of dollars that directly go to subsidizing rounds of golf for youth. We’re grateful to partner with such venerable golf destinations like Pinehurst Resort, Pebble Beach Golf Resorts, and new for this season, Cabot Cape Breton. This year we’ve rolled out new ways to participate, including a team format, that allows fundraisers to play only a portion of the 100 holes, creating a fun competition and a less physically intensive way to be involved. We look forward to partnering with golfers across the U.S. and Canada to increase access to the sport.”
Youth on Course supporters nationwide will be challenged to complete 100 holes of golf in one day and secure donations to increase affordability and accessibility for youth interested in golf.
“Since 2015, the 100 Hole Hike initiative has become the most impactful fundraising initiative to support our members through access,” Jeff Clark, Chief Development Officer for Youth on Course, said. “Those who participate will not only feel satisfied helping youth but will also know they themselves can overcome any mental and physical challenges in their lives to do so.”
This year, registered participants can select between three Premier Hikes, eight National Hikes, and more than 10 Hikes organized by regional Allied Golf Associations. The three Premier Hikes require a minimum fundraising goal of $10,000 for each golfer, and the nine National Hikes require a minimum of $1,000.
The Premier Hikes include The Cradle at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C., on Aug. 26, The Nest at Cabot Cape Breton in Inverness, Nova Scotia, on Oct. 4, and The Hay at Pebble Beach Resort in Pebble Beach, California, on Nov. 11. Each participant will be provided with overnight accommodations, and additional incentives for reaching minimums and beyond, including a stay-and-play at Pebble Beach Resorts for U.S. participants, and a stay-and-play at Cabot Cliffs for those participating in Canada.
“The Cradle was built to celebrate the fun of the game of golf and to be enjoyed by all levels of golfers,” says Tom Pashley, Pinehurst Resort President. “The 100 Hole Hike plays an important role in ensuring future generations have the same opportunities to grow in the game. We’re excited for The Cradle to be such a big part in helping make the game more accessible to all who want to play it.”
“The Hay has become a focal point of our property that presents a welcoming atmosphere for beginners, and challenging shot making for advanced players,” says David Stivers, Pebble Beach Company’s Chief Executive Officer. “Partnering with Youth on Course is a great source of pride for us as we support their mission of opening doors for young people both on and off the course.”
Those participating in any of the eight National Hikes will be incentivized with a Youth on Course-branded water bottle, golf towel, and Seamus headcover when they raise $2,500, a $500 voucher to PGA Tour Superstore when they reach $5,000 in donations, or an invitation to stay-and-play at Pebble Beach Resorts if they reach $10,000 or more.

Founded in 2006, Youth on Course now has nearly 200,000 members who can play golf for $5 or less at more than 2,000 courses throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia.
