Naples, Fla. – Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples is set to host this week’s PGA TOUR Champions Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO, February 18-20. The Chubb Classic marks the third professional event Tiburón has hosted in three months following December’s QBE Shootout, which featured golfers from the PGA TOUR, and the LPGA Tour’s CME Group Tour Championship.
The 2022 Chubb Classic will be contested on the Black Course at Tiburón and will feature many of the game’s legends, including Bernhard Langer, Fred Couples, Jim Furyk, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, and Jerry Kelly as well as World Golf Hall of Fame and Team Troon member Colin Montgomerie. Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples is the only golf facility in the world to host LPGA Tour, PGA TOUR Champions and PGA TOUR-sanctioned tournaments over a three-month stretch. The CME Group Tour Championship and QBE Shootout were both played on Tiburón’s Gold Course.
2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the Chubb Classic, and the second straight year the event is being played at Tiburón. The tournament will air on Golf Channel on Friday at noon EST, Saturday at 3 p.m. EST, and Sunday at 3 p.m. EST.
