LAKE MARY, FL – PGA Professional Jeff Jones, a 40-year teaching veteran, has been named Director of Instruction at Timacuan Club, Central Florida’s newest private cub experience.
Jones will head up the Timacuan Learning Center, with a focus on player development for all skill levels and age groups.
Jones has been voted a Top 50 Junior Instructor every year since 2006, and is well regarded nationally as a top instructor for junior development. Juniors can compete in the PGA Junior League, attend Summer Camps, or join the Learning Center and train each month.
“We are blessed to have a veteran, well-respected PGA member like Jeff to head up our instructional programs,” said Timacuan Club General Manager Jeff King. “He brings so much to a very important aspect of our operations at Timacuan. Developing players should be a priority for all of us in the industry, and Jeff is the right person to lead our efforts.”
Jones has earned a reputation for being able to communicate the golf swing efficiently. He focuses not solely on swing development but on a broad-based approach, teaching players how to lower their scores.
“Scoring is the name of the game and players can learn many areas to save strokes each round,” said Jones. “I am so excited to come to Timacuan and the Learning Center. This facility offers the ability to help players learn how to save strokes in a number of areas: Full swing, short game, putting, better practice, strength, stretching, and on-course playing skills.”
