San Diego, CA – Golf Channel Academy with David Impastato today announced Tina Mickelson, PGA of America Class “A” Member and Callaway Golf Ambassador, has joined the Academy team as the Director of Women’s Programming and Instruction. With current school locations in Chicago, IL; Naples and Ft. Myers, FL, the women’s golf programming has such significant growth and demand over the past few years that an expansion into California will be rolled out over the next six months.
“The goal of our Academies is to offer a variety of opportunities for beginners to learn and play the game so that they feel comfortable in a golf environment, and for more advanced golfers to improve their score and heighten their enjoyment of playing” said Academy Owner and recognized Golf Digest Best Teacher (IL), David Impastato. “I am very excited to have Tina Mickelson on board to direct and facilitate our ladies executive offerings and junior programs at our facilities.”
Women’s Programs will include Clinics for Female Executives and Young Professionals as well as retreats and weekend getaways. “I am thrilled to have found an Academy partner that has such a strong commitment to female athletes”, said Tina Mickelson. “David works with a wide range of golfers – from Snag Golf clinics for Juniors to implementing Paradigm Performance work with professional golfers and I look forward to supporting the expansion of the women’s efforts and the launch of our various golf programs.”
