LAGC’s WTGL Team Adds to Ohanian’s Women’s Sports Portfolio including Angel City FC, NWSL; Athlos, Women’s Track & Field; Chelsea FC, Women’s Super League; & an LA Team, League One Volleyball
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – TMRW Sports announced Alexis Ohanian with Los Angeles Golf Club as the second team ownership group for WTGL, the upcoming women’s team golf platform featuring global stars from the LPGA Tour. Ohanian and his wife, Serena Williams, have been avid supporters of women’s sports, including Ohanian backing a portfolio of sports teams and events, and are owners of LAGC, which won the 2026 season of TGL presented by SoFi. Preparing for a launch later this year, WTGL will feature a season of fast-paced team match play at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The announcement was made by Ohanian, founder and general partner of Seven Seven Six, and Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, the parent company of TGL and WTGL.
“My first question when I took the investment pitch for TGL was ‘men’s golf is great, but when can I get a women’s team?’,” said Ohanian. “I’m proud that today is the day we can officially announce buying the LA WTGL team. The LAGC lads have set a high standard as teammates and now TGL champions, and I can’t wait to see the women competing in the arena later this year.”

LAGC’s WTGL team expands Ohanian’s portfolio in women’s sports, including Angel City FC (NWSL), Chelsea FC (Women’s Super League); and a new Los Angeles volleyball team (LOVB).
WTGL is TMRW Sports’ second project and previously announced Arthur M. Blank and AMB Sports and Entertainment as WTGL’s first team owner and Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures as the league’s lead capital partner. WTGL’s current roster of committed players includes: Jeeno Thitikul (Thailand, No. 1), Charley Hull (England, No. 3), Lydia Ko (New Zealand, No. 8, three-time major champion), Lottie Woad (England, No. 10), Brooke Henderson (Canada, No. 21, two-time major champion), Rose Zhang (United States, No. 78), Lexi Thompson (United States, No. 99, major champion), and Michelle Wie West (United States, major champion).
