Jim Beatty, organizer and founder of the African American Golf EXPO and Forum announced that Todd Fleming, Executive Director of the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches has joined the host committee to support the EXPO activities. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission, headed by George Linley is a key sponsor and is responsible for bringing the EXPO to the area. Linley serves as co-chair of the host committee with Malachi Knowles , Founder & President, Inner City Youth Golfers’ African American Golfers Hall of Fame and the African American Collegiate & Youth Golfers Hall of Fame
Beatty stated “Having Todd’s involvement adds a very important dimension to reach additional audiences for the EXPO being held Aug. 24 -27. The EXPO is the premier platform in the golf industry where entrepreneurs ,community organizations and leaders will be able to meet with golf executives and leaders to discuss jobs, careers, and business opportunities in a planned forum. The committee serves as the local hosts for the attendees and guests of the 4th annual African American Golf EXPO and Forum, August 24 -27 being held in Palm Beach at the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott. The committee will provide volunteers, tours, and transportation to interesting sites in the area
The committee will also manage the EXPO’s inaugural community service project at the Riviera Beach Heights Community Garden.

About Todd Fleming
Todd is a graduate of the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio, where he was a point guard on the basketball team, Fleming has a reputation as a leader, communicator and motivator.
He was a vice-president for global sales at Legends, a company that specializes in solutions for sports organizations and venues.
In 2018, he was named one of Sports Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40.” Prior to joining Legends, he worked in the business operations for the Charlotte Bobcats, Dallas Cowboys, New Jersey Nets, Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. His two-year stint in Miami started in 2004.
While at Legends, Fleming helped complete the Yankees’ $40 million renovation to Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, assisted the Chargers in their move to Los Angeles and helped a company win the right to sell premium seats for the Raiders’ new stadium in Las Vegas.
ABOUT THE EXPO
The mission of this event is to make African Americans aware of the jobs, careers, and business opportunities in this $102 Billion industry. I have attached a breakdown of the industry for your use. African Americans represent less than 3% of the industry.
The EXPO started in 2021 and has been held in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC and Louisville, KY. Several thousand people have attended generating a multimillion-dollar economic impact in these communities.
The EXPO founder and organizer is Jim Beatty, president of Jim Beatty Golf Ventures.
