Players playing Tour Edge Exotics continue to rack up top finishes at an astronomical pace on the PGA Tour Champions this season.
Three different players finished in the Top 10 this past week at the team format Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf, including runner-up finisher Tom Lehman, a recently signed Exotics CBX hybrid staff player for Tour Edge.
Lehman was teamed with the current #5 ranked player in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, the same pairing that won the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf in 2009. Lehman and his partner finished the event at 24 under par before losing in a wild playoff finish.
The runner-up finish was the fourth 2nd place finish for a player using Tour Edge golf clubs this season on the PGA Tour Champions.
Also finishing in the Top 10 at Big Cedar Lodge was Exotics CBX hybrid staffer Scott McCarron, who earned his fourth Top 10 finish of the season. He currently ranks 10th in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.
The other Top 10 was earned by a player playing an Exotics CBX 3-wood. The #4 ranked player on the official money list and the winner of the Chubb Classic earlier this year with an Exotics CBX fairway wood and hybrid in play, finished 10th this week with his playing partner.
Six players playing Exotics CBX finished in the Top 25 in Missouri this week, including Exotics CBX hybrid staffers Rocco Mediate and Duffy Waldorf, as well as a 20-time winner on the PGA TOUR and 45-time winner on the PGA Tour Champions.
Tour Edge had a total of seven clubs in play this week at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge, helping the Exotics CBX hybrid to rank tied for 2nd for number of hybrid models in play at the event.
After eight events on the 2018 PGA Tour Champions season, Exotics CBX metalwoods have been in play for one win, four runner-up finishes, eight Top 5 and 17 Top 10 finishes. A total of 85 Exotics CBX metalwoods have been put into play.
Tour Edge is keeping count of their 2018 tour statistics on a scoreboard featured d on touredge.com.
About Exotics CBX
Exotics CBX are the only metal woods ever designed to feature a Titanium face, stainless steel body and carbon fiber sole.
The Exotics CBX hybrid’s higher CG is located slightly forward in the club head through the use of a carbon fiber in the sole, which is significantly lighter than stainless steel. This helps to increase ball speed and reduce spin, which makes for less dispersion. Tour Edge’s extremely thin Beta-titanium cup-face enlarges the ideal hitting area on the clubs. It is brazed to stainless steel behind the hitting area which allows the face to flex more at impact, while the Speed Ramp sole design provides reduced turf interaction so the club can maintain its speed through the hitting area. The Tour Edge Exotics CBX fairway woods, Exotics CBX hybrids and Exotics CBX Iron-Woods are currently available at select authorized Tour Edge retailers.
