GOLFZON America CEO Tommy Lim Scheduled for Technology Panel at NGCOA’s TechCon
GOLFZON (www.golfzongolf.com) will share the stage during a technology panel discussion on Friday, Oct. 12 as a part of the National Golf Course Owners Association’s Golf Business TechCon conference in Las Vegas.
Tommy Lim, the CEO of GOLFZON America, is one of four panelists on the topic, “Getting A Grip on Virtual Reality,” scheduled for 1:30-2:30 p.m., PDT on Friday in Mariposa Ballroom 8 of the ARIA Resort & Casino. Signature Group President and CEO Bruce Lucker will serve as the panel moderator. The other panel members include Dave Shultz, Founder & CEO, NextLinks; and Greg Nathan, Chief Business Officer, National Golf Foundation.
The “Getting a Grip on Virtual Reality” discussion enables attendees to learn more about alternative experiences and tools that engage players and bring more people to the game. Additional revenue generation opportunities during adverse weather and in the offseason, speedier and less intimidating methods to develop golfers, such as using golf simulators, and an attractiveness to younger and non-golfers also play a role in high-tech, “gamer” oriented, non-green grass efforts to draw in new golfers.
Golf Business TechCon, scheduled for Oct. 11-12, is the golf industry’s only event specifically designed to showcase golf course technology. This educational, instructional two-day event allows golf course owners, operators and other industry professionals to experience some of the tools, tactics and techniques currently transforming golf course operations.
