How to deploy best top-line revenue practices to stay a step ahead of the market
Charleston, S.C. – As the nation sits on the precipice of an economic slowdown, golf courses have aggressively pushed rates during the COVID-induced surge. Data from the NGCOA 2022 Golf Business Pulse Report indicates that 91 percent of owners surveyed increased rates this year, with a third having increased by 5 percent or more. So how far can they continue to go?
At Golf Business Conference 2023, Sports and Leisure Research Group’s Jon Last, who has been regularly pulsing the golfer mindset for over two decades, and leading multi-facility operator Del Ratcliffe, President of Ratcliffe Golf Services, who has been using Jon’s insights for years to further his operations, will inform golf course owner and operator attendees how to deploy best top-line revenue practices to stay a step ahead of the market, and share steps they should take to optimize revenue.
Last and Ratcliffe will also divulge current consumer attitudes and what they should expect in the near future. “Golf course owners and operators will want to better understand consumer perspectives on the year ahead and the latest attitudinal and behavioral trends,” said Last. “In particular, we’ll shed light on how conflicting forces of the recent surge in golf participation and a tenuous economy may net out for the most effective pricing strategies.”
GBC23 will be held from January 23-25 in Orlando, Florida, co-located with the 2023 PGA Show. This panel session will take place Tuesday, January 24 at the Rosen Centre (the GBC23 host hotel).
