ONTARIO, CANADA – Towel Tag would like to congratulate Anirban Lahiri and his caddie, and Towel Tag PGA Tour Brand Ambassador, Tim Giuliano, on their recent solo 2nd Place Finish at The Players Championship held March 10-13th at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Lahiri battled rain delays, 35+ mph winds and ever-changing weather conditions to capture a solo 2nd Place Finish at one of the PGA TOUR’s premier events. Lahiri finished at 12 under just one stroke behind the winner.
Going into the tournament, Anirban was Ranked 322nd in the World but decided to make some key changes prior to the start of the tournament which really paid off.
“From 322nd in the World to 2nd Place at The Players, it must be the Towel right,” said Craig Holub, Founder of Towel Tag. “Just kidding, but In all seriousness we’d like to congratulate Anirban and Tim on their amazing performance at this event. We were all glued to our televisions throughout the tournament rooting for these guys the whole way. It was a real rush every time we caught Tim’s custom towel, designed exclusively for the Florida Swing, over his shoulder during the coverage of the event. We even designed a custom “BAAN” Towel for Anirban that he carries on his bag as well.”
ABOUT TOWEL TAG
The innovative Towel Tag utilizes “Pull-Thru Technology” to create an entirely new generation of functional bag tags. Towel Tag is designed to temporarily secure your golf towel without the use of grommets or hooks. Each tag is manufactured using two separate compounds to create a functional bag tag with exceptional durability. They are ideal for temporary storage of golf towels, head covers, rain gear, outdoor and layered clothing. Towel Tag uses the latest printing technology to create a customized Towel Tag suited for every golfer, team, organization, or golf event.
Prior to the Towel Tag, most golf towels were secured to the golf bag by means of a standard grommet and hook like those used on a shower curtain. This traditional attachment made it very difficult to easily release the towel when required, for example as a player walks to the golf green to spot, lift and clean their golf ball after reaching the green and prior to lining up your putt.
“I decided to combine the simple features of the traditional bag tag and an accessible towel holder,” said Craig Holub, “and then we figured out a way to personalize it and make it unique for the golfer and unlike anything else currently available on the market.”
