MAGGIE PEEBLES NAMED TPC NETWORK A. JAMES CLARK EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
Of more than 2,000 employees, Maggie Peebles of TPC River’s Bend has been named the 2018 recipient of the PGA TOUR’s TPC Network A. James Clark Award.
Nominees embodied a commitment to excellence by upholding the values of the TPC Network and the ideals of the PGA TOUR, while also demonstrating the same strong work ethic and inspirational leadership qualities of the late A. James Clark, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Clark Enterprises and longtime member of the PGA TOUR’s Golf Course Properties Advisory Board. Throughout her 14-year experience at TPC River’s Bend, Maggie has continued Clark’s legacy by leading many of the club’s philanthropic efforts in the community, while also exemplifying superior leadership and service to membership, as well as fellow staff members at the club.
“We are so proud of Maggie for being named the A. James Clark honoree for the TPC Network. She truly embodies both what we expect from our team every day at all of our clubs and the characteristics for which Mr. Clark was so well known,” said TPC River’s Bend General Manager Jack Hunter. “Maggie never has a bad day, only good days and great days. She truly makes a difference at our club, both to our members and her peers, and is so deserving of this award.”
In her current role as the floor manager for the food and beverage department, Maggie’s dedication to service sets the bar high for all staff. Through training others to delivering exceptional experiences, winning Employee of the Year and leaving an uplifting spirit in the clubhouse, Maggie has made her mark at TPC River’s Bend. The A. James Clark Award solidifies the Network’s appreciation for her 14 years of dedication, which according to Hunter, is key to member retention and acquisition success.
Maggie’s compassion extends far beyond the golf course. She is the mother of two daughters, has recently become a first-time grandmother and is the owner of a beloved maltipoo named Sweetie Pie. In her philanthropic efforts, she practices her favorite hobby of couponing to buy supplies for those in need in her community and families through the Immigrant Families Together Program. She’s well known in the community for giving back to those in need, local schools and churches through creating “Baskets of Care,” which have already impacted the lives of more than 100 families.
Home of the Big Ten Women’s Golf Championships and Symetra Tour’s Prasco Charity Championship, TPC River’s Bend is an award-winning club with a championship layout designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer. Its members receive an array of amenities and the personalized service and privileges that have become synonymous with the PGA TOUR’s acclaimed TPC Network of premier clubs.
The golf course at TPC River’s Bend was ranked by Golf Digest as one of the “Top 10 Best New Private Clubs in the U.S.” and among Ohio’s “Best Courses in the State” by Golf Digest for seven years.
