BRENTWOOD, Tenn.– 72 holes was not enough to decide the winner of the inaugural Workday Charity Open. It took a sudden death playoff for the 23-year-old University of California alumni to claim his second PGA Tour Title. The 2-time winner hit clutch putts to extend the playoff and eventually, outlast his competition. The top three finishers trusted the cleat traction technology of PrideSports® brands Softspikes® and Champ®.
“It is great to see the young guys come out and compete at their highest potential in the biggest moments. I think golf is in great hands with this new generation.” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports/MacNeill-Pride Group. “We were happy to see that the top three finishers were using our technology. It is always a thrill to know that our products assisted athletes to achieve their goal out on the PGA Tour.”
The footwear of choice for the Workday Charity Open winner was the Adidas Tour 360 shoes with Adidas ThinTech cleats. Out on the Korn Ferry Tour, the winner of the TPC San Antonio Challenge also chose to compete in the Adidas Tour 360 shoes with Adidas ThinTech cleats.
