PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – For many Americans, February is a good time to get out of town. Get out of the cold weather and spend some time in warmer environs.
That’s exactly what the crew at the award-winning Traveling Golfer television show is doing. They are taking another of their favorite road trips … along the Myrtle Beach Golf Trail.
Show host Tony Leodora has enlisted veteran broadcaster John Daly to serve as tour guide and narrate from some of the favorite courses along the Myrtle Beach Golf Trail. And, as often is the case, AJ Gohil will be along to highlight some of his favorite restaurants and watering holes.
With all of that excitement on tap, it should come as no surprise to see a road trip selected as the February episode of the Traveling Golfer.
“Cabin fever hit the golf world early this year and golfers are ready to get on the road,” says Leodora, who seems to log a record number of miles every year. “Questions about new places to play and what to do once the golfers get to their destination have been non-stop. ”
In the February show, favorite Myrtle Beach area courses such as Meadowlands, Sandpiper Bay, and Crow Creek will be featured. Also, culinary highlights will come from mouth-watering haunts such as a preview of 55 Bistro at Sea Trail Resort – which will be highlighted on a feature later in the year.
“I’m willing to make a bet that a large number of our viewers will be making a visit to the Myrtle Beach area some time this year,” concludes Leodora. “Consider this show as a public service, providing inside information on the best places to visit on one of those trips.”

Responding to golfers’ never-ending demands to learn more about interesting golf courses and golf resorts across the country and around the world, well-traveled host Tony Leodora created the Traveling Golfer so he could take viewers on video trips to some of the most exciting golf locations. In each of its 10 years on the air, the show has been honored by the International Network of Golf with one of its prestigious awards. In four of those years the Traveling Golfer was named the No. 1 Golf Television Show in America.
The Traveling Golfer is a series of monthly shows hosted by Leodora and his partners, Jeff Gilder and Executive Producer Dustin Gilder. All have many years of experience in televised golf. The featured destination stays on the website for one month, before being replaced by a new show. Alternate shows also air in a two-month rotation.
