Santa Fe Springs, California – Trojan Lithium-ion is the showstopper this year at the PGA Show, with displays including the official 2018 Ryder Cup Vehicle and Tru-Turf Golf Greens Roller.
Trojan Battery’s booth #3227 will showcase its complete range of deep cycle batteries, including the 36V and 48V GC2 Lithium-ion LSEV batteries, Trojan AES, and flooded lead acid batteries.
2018 RYDER CUP VEHICLE POWERED BY TROJAN LITHIUM
Front and center in the booth will be the official Ryder Cup vehicle driven by Davis Love III, co-captain of the 2018 Ryder Cup U.S. Team. Powered by three 48V (90Ah) GC2 Trojan Lithium-ion batteries, the vehicle benefits from extended range (45-60 miles with a 3-battery setup), a long 10-year lifetime, no maintenance, fast charging, advanced safety and durability, and is backed by an industry-leading 8-year warranty. On loan from Frederica Golf Club located on St. Simon’s Island, Georgia, the vehicle was recently restored with Trojan Lithium-ion batteries.
“I selected Trojan because they have always been a trusted name in golf car batteries, and they have been a wonderful partner. Trojan provides unsurpassed customer and technical support, and we have not experienced any supply chain problems or delayed deliveries,” says Frederica Golf Club’s Director of Golf Course and Grounds, Asa High.
Visitors to the booth are welcome and encouraged to take a picture with the Ryder Cub Vehicle.
TRU-TURF GREENS ROLLER POWERED BY TROJAN LITHIUM
A new addition to Trojan’s booth is a Tru-Turf RE-50 Golf Greens Roller. Powered by four 48V (120Ah) GC2 Trojan Lithium-ion batteries, it’s the only electric roller on the market to deliver 27 greens with power left on a single charge. Trojan displays the greens roller to show its versatility in motive golf equipment.
“Trojan offers the golf industry a lot more than golf car batteries. Most low-speed electric vehicles (LSEVs) and equipment can benefit from our deep-cycle range of batteries, including green rollers, utility vehicles, and other maintenance vehicles. Tru-Turf is a great example that shows how Trojan Lithium-ion batteries can help golf courses maintain their greens in the most efficient way possible,” says Trojan’s Senior Director of Product Management, Darren Brittain.
A COMPLETE RANGE OF BATTERIES
While Trojan Lithium-ion batteries are the focus in the golf industry, Trojan offers and will showcase their complete range, including an upgraded AGM battery named Trojan AES and their tried-and-true flooded lead acid (FLA) range.
Trojan AES batteries are a newer technology (only from Trojan) that is maintenance-free, offers 3x the cycle life of standard AGM batteries, performs well in extreme temperatures, and withstands a partial state of charge with no issues. Trojan’s flooded lead acid range remains a trusted standard for golf car batteries. No matter the budget or performance needs, Trojan has a battery to fit every situation.
“We offer a complete range of deep-cycle batteries, so our customers have great options based on their needs. Trojan Lithium-ion is for you if you need the longest range, the best TCO, and no maintenance. For a mid-range, maintenance-free battery that’s a major upgrade from traditional AGM, consider Trojan AES. And for the economical choice that’s proven itself repeatedly, Trojan FLA continues to be a preferred battery,” says Trojan’s Vice President of Sales Bob Pigott.
