Troy is an award-winning PGA Professional who played collegiately at Seton Hall University before pursuing a professional playing career. After two years on mini-tours, Troy worked as an Assistant Professional at Rolling Hills Country Club and Charlotte Country Club before being named the Head Golf Professional at Myers Park Country Club in 2018.
Troy joined the staff at Marietta Country Club in 2022 as the Director of Golf. Spencer is arguably one of the most well-rounded golf professionals in the southeast. Having won the 2023 Merchandiser of the Year award, Spencer also finished third in the 2023 Georgia section Player of the Year standings.
