Free event designed to bring golf and communities together
Tucson, Ariz.– The Randolph Golf Complex will host the Tucson City Golf Community Swing presented by Troonon Saturday, September 12, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The free event invites the public to experience the recreational and social benefits of the game of golf in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
Attendees can participate in a variety of activities, including range sessions, a putting course, five-minute complimentary golf lessons, SNAG Golf for beginners, music, food and beverage specials, lawn games, and more. The event aims to make golf accessible and enjoyable for all community members.
The Tucson City Golf gathering is part of Troon’s nationwide Community Swing series, which transforms municipal golf courses into vibrant community hubs. The series includes 23 events across the United States, designed to introduce local communities to the Troon experience – where hospitality, recreation, and connection converge.
“The Community Swing is a fun way to introduce local communities to golf courses, where hospitality, recreation, and connection come together,” said PGA Southwest Section Southern Arizona President Landyn Lewis, who also serves as the Director of Development for Tucson Golf Program. “By expanding the impact of golf courses beyond fairways and greens, we’re redefining what it means to be a welcoming and inclusive destination for all.”
Troon is the largest operator of municipal golf facilities in the U.S., managing over 150 courses. The company’s relationships with municipalities are structured through management agreements, lease agreements, or a combination of both, tailored to each municipality’s needs. Troon is also the leading employer of PGA professionals.
