Peachtree Corners, Ga – The U.S. Kids Golf Coaches Institute will be launching its new Coach Certification curriculum with an in-person seminar at the 2026 PGA Show in Orlando. The updated Certification program will now include a more practical approach to coaching, including indoor and outdoor certifications, a Pathway Coach option, and on-demand content. The seminar will be conducted at the Orange County Convention Center on Thursday, January 22nd from 9am-12 noon.

“Empowering coaches with the best practices and knowledge we’ve learned through 30 years of research and analysis is really the most effective way to impact kids who want to have a lifelong love of the game,” says Dan Van Horn, the President and Founder of U.S. Kids Golf. “With this new certification program, we want to do more than simply educate, we want to create a foundation for a longer relationship between us and the coach, a partnership that will help their business grow and prosper.”

The new certification process will involve subject-matter experts who will explain specific elements of player development including equipment fitting, program resources, creating culture, the importance of tournament play, and every aspect of building a successful program. Additionally, coaches will have the opportunity to enroll in Pathway certification, the player development roadmap that has been implemented by a number of the most successful programs in the country.

“The new Certification process accounts for all the different ways Coaches and players now interact,” explains Greg Hubbard, Vice President of Coach and Tournament Development. “There is no one-size-fits-all method and that’s ok, as long as the coach has the knowledge and structure to guide their students on their individual journey. We are in position to not only educate, but really invest in programs and, accordingly, create more young players than ever before. After a seminar, every participant should know the basics of starting, running, and growing a successful program, what Best Practices are most adopted for their particular circumstance, and have the opportunity to create a supportive and enduring partnership between their program and the resources of U.S. Kids Golf.”

Coaches interested in becoming Certified through the U.S. Kids Golf Coaches Institute can register for in-person or online seminars at https://foundation.uskidsgolf.com/training-schedule.
