The golf destination, which was voted in the top 10 driving ranges in Britain by Today’s Golfer magazine, is going digital with Inrange®
Suffolk, UK: Players in Suffolk are soon going to be able to head to the range and experience the best practice & entertainment ball tracking on the market. Ufford Park, which boasts the only two-tier driving range in the whole county, is set to upgrade its player experience by bringing in Inrange® radar ball tracking technology.
The resort and golf venue, which is part of the LQ resorts group, is set over 120 acres of stunning historic parkland and is a golf destination. Along with the 18-hole course and 24 bay driving range, they operate a hotel, spa, conference center and wedding venue. Both day visitors and longer term stayers enjoy all the facilities and nature of the area, and with the par 71 course being playable all year round thanks to its excellent natural drainage, they see a steady flow of members and non-members alike.
David Rayner, the global head of sales for Inrange® Golf explains:
“We are delighted to partner with LQ Resorts to transform their driving range at Ufford Park into a fully-fledged Digital Range Experience. With their 2-storey range and adjoining golf resort and spa, we wanted to create a destination for both serious golfers and social players to enjoy. All credit to Ash and his team for bringing this vision to life so soon after their acquisition of the hotel.”
The venue’s commitment to ensure they are always offering their guests the very best, every visit, was one of the major factors in deciding to bring in ball tracking, and also the massive revenue upside.
Ash Bansal, Owner of LQ Resorts said of the upgrade:
“When we purchased Ufford Park a few months ago, we acquired a modestly performing golf practice facility. We were looking for a technology partner who could transform our practice facility into a full digital range experience for both serious golfers and entertainment customers. The Inrange system has distinct experiences for three different customer demographics, from serious practice golfers, to multiplayer social groups, to large multi-bay events where teams play bay vs bay. This fits perfectly with our golf resort customer base and events business. For us, the commercial opportunity from choosing Inrange was unparalleled.”
Currently the Ufford Park enhancement is due to go live in Spring 2023, and with Inrange® sites also going up in Seattle (USA), Virginia (USA). The Netherlands, Australia and Korea in the next 6 months, it’s going to be a very busy start to the year for the ball tracking company.

About Inrange®
The Inrange® system consists of radar sensors placed in and around a driving range that create a series of interlocking radar fields. Once calibrated, they can determine the origin of each ball (which bay it was hit from), and track its entire flight, no matter how long or short, in real time. The resulting data is relayed either to an in-bay touchscreen or via the cloud to the Inrange® app on the player’s mobile device.
Inrange® software provides a seamless, intuitive user-experience for the player, providing real-time feedback with pro-level data and analysis, accessible via the in-bay touchscreen or on the player’s own mobile device.
