London, UK – The UK Golf Federation (UKGF) is pleased to announce its support for the 2026 Unleash Your Drive initiative as a Venue Supporting Partner. Working closely with The Golf Foundation and the British Golf Industry Association (BGIA), the UKGF is committed to helping golf facilities across the country introduce more children to the sport through this inclusive programme.

Following a successful pilot year, Unleash Your Drive returns in 2026 with a goal to expand to 100 projects. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between school based learning and club participation. It begins with a six week introduction in primary schools delivered by teachers, followed by a further six weeks of coaching at a local golf club. These club sessions are led by PGA Coaches or Community Golf Instructors, giving pupils the chance to experience playing on a golf course and to participate in the GolfSixes League.

Doug Poole, CEO of the UK Golf Federation, said “we’re very proud to support a programme that strengthens the links between golf facilities and their local communities. By providing a clear pathway from the classroom to the course, the industry can ensure a healthy future for the game while making golf accessible to a more diverse group of young people.”

Participating venues receive specific support from The Golf Foundation, including a contribution of 100 pounds towards coaching costs and dedicated resources for new junior players. Schools involved in the scheme also receive equipment packs to help develop the next generation of golfers.

The UK Golf Federation is encouraging its members and all golf facility owners to get involved in the 2026 rollout. By hosting these sessions, clubs can increase grassroots participation and build lasting relationships with local schools.

Facilities interested in joining the programme for the upcoming season can find more information and registration details through the Golf Foundation website here https://www.golf-foundation.org/uydinclubs/
