ULD Broadens Its International Partnership Group With the Addition of South Africa. GridPro South Africa Will Qualify Long Drive Competitors For the @021 ULD World Championships Via ULD Sanctioned Events in South Africa
Myrtle Beach, SC. Ultimate Long Drive, Inc (ULD) announces the inclusion of South African long drive athletes at their 2021 World Championships. Through a sanction agreement with GridPro South Africa (GPSA) the GPSA organization will host events for qualifying their professional and amateur players into the 2021 ULD World Championship.
GPSA, under the direction of Stephen Van Zyl, has been operating long drive events in South Africa for the past two years. “We are very excited for our athletes to be able to compete in ULD,” said Van Zyl in an interview this week. “Our guys are looking forward to getting to Cog Hill and competing.”
The Amateur Long Drive™ (ALD) and Jeff Crittenden’s Xtreme Long Drive® (XLD) Championship Series’ are owned and operated by Ultimate Long Drive, Inc.(ULD). Both series’ consist of league (local), regional, national, international, and world championship events. Players of all ages and abilities compete to become World Champions. The 2021 season will include 150+ events involving players from 28 countries attempting to play their way to the World Championship. The 2021 ULD World Championships will be held September 10th – 19th at Cog Hill Golf Club in Chicago, Illinois.
“We’ve been in conversations with Stephen (Van Zyl) for a few weeks,” said Jeff Gilder, President of ULD. “They have some of the best long drive athletes in the world competing in the GPSA. We’re beyond excited to include them in our ULD World Championships.”
